A team of asylum seekers and refugees, the rules of rugby, the deep European province, in a history of integration that offers a starting point, a tension to the goal.
That of the Three Black Roses is a story born in the province but at the forefront for its integration value declined through rugby and has many peculiar aspects in it: the simplicity with which it arose, the non-ideal context in which it is inserted, the partial awareness of its protagonists, the contemporary value in the field of integration.
In Casale Monferrato, in a context in which almost none of the protagonists had an initial emotional drive towards integration, an area already marked by difficult stories - the Eternit above all and then the crisis of the last decade - a heterogeneous group is tracing the way for a possible, not easy, normalization of a phenomenon, that of migration, which is no longer emergency in its flows, now structural, but which is so in the management of the effects on the territory, the same that we call "The deep European province "the last frontier that resists and does so through the mediation to the impact of time and to all the global dynamics that overwhelm it and that grants with its spaces and times the possibility of telling oneself that is in the making to know oneself.
The Three Roses Rugby, renamed Three Black Roses, are not united by an ideal, but the "rugby club" becomes a hypothesis of an ideal.
This is the story of the Three Black Roses.

CNN - George Ramsay interview with Maxime Mbanda
Ahead of his Six Nations debut against Wales, he remembers stumbling upon a video released by the Italian federation. It featured Tre Rose Nere (Three Black Roses), an amateur rugby club made up mostly of players who are refugees.
Seeing in the video that the players were training in the old national uniform, Mbanda decided to privately donate his own. Shortly thereafter he was persuaded to visit the club in person and a relationship has blossomed ever since. OPEN THE LINK
